What is The Way of Jesus?

The Way of Jesus is a six-week discipleship experience starting September 13. It is designed to help participants take a deep dive into the life of Jesus alongside other believers.

Weekly Rhythms

During each week of The Way of Jesus, we will explore a different chapter in The Story Study Guide*. Lead Pastor Stan Killebrew will kick off each week with a sermon, and the study guide will then take you through both personal time and time with your Venture Group for the rest of the week. Check out what our weekly rhythm will look like!

Monday

Know the designated chapter in The Story. This involves testing and expanding your knowledge of the passage(s), and then reading the designated chapter in The Story. See the reading schedule below.


9/13-9/19: Chapter 22

9/20-9/26: Chapter 23

9/27-10/03: Chapter 24

10/04-10/10: Chapter 25

10/11-10/17: Chapter 26

10/18-10/24: Chapter 27


Tuesday

Understand the designated chapter in The Story. This means digging deeper into the chapter and picking out things you might never have noticed!


Wednesday

Live the designated chapter of The Story. Reflect on the chapter and think about how it can apply to your own life.


Thursday

Tell the designated chapter of The Story. Don’t keep it to yourself - share what you have been learning with someone in your life!


Accessing Small Group Videos

To access the weekly small group videos:

  • Log in to Study Gateway
  • Redeem the code for the videos by visiting and entering the access code: studygateway.com/redeem72DEM3KZUQYX
  • The videos will then be added to your Library, and you'll have free, permanent access to them when you're logged in.

Wednesday Prayer Time

The Prayer Room is open every Wednesday from 6–8p as a quiet, intentional space to slow down and spend time with Jesus. Come for a few minutes or stay for the full two hours.


On Wednesday, October 7, we’ll add simple live worship throughout the evening. This won’t be a highly programmed service, and you don’t need to arrive at the beginning or stay until the end. It’s simply a space to come and go, pray, worship, sit in the presence of Jesus, and receive prayer if you need it.
